HOW DO I OBTAIN A PASSWORD?
Only volunteers and parents are given a password to access certain portions of the site that are exclusive to their role in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. Please call your caseworker to obtain a password. Please be aware that passwords are changed periodically.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF A FUNDRAISING TEAM?
To become a member of a fundraising team for an event, such as Bowl for Kids Sake or to create a personal page to fundraise year round, click on the following link. (GreatGiving.com) Follow the online instructions. Another way to fund raise for the agency is to hold a fundraiser or series of fundraisers and name Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fairfield County as the recipient of the proceeds.
LEARN WHERE DONATIONS GO?
Big Brothers Big Sisters is funded in part by United Way, grant, donations, and fundraising events. Regardless of where the money comes from, 100% of it stays right here in Fairfield County to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program.
HOW DO I DONATE TICKETS FOR KIDS TO USE?
Event tickets are always appreciated by the children and the volunteers. Bigs and Littles enjoy activities that they wouldn’t normally experience such as college/pro sporting events, theatrical productions, theme parks, or museums. If you or your company would like to donate tickets, please call the agency @ 740-687-9477 or mail directly to us at:

HOW DO I GET A BIG BROTHER OR BIG SISTER FOR MY CHILD?
Big Brothers Big Sisters serves children throughout Fairfield County between the ages of 6-18 who need and want a Big Brother or Big Sister to provide positive friendship, guidance, and support. To determine if your child or the child you know is eligible, please fill out the on-line form or contact the agency at 740-687-9477. All information you provide will be kept confidential. Once your request is received, a member of the staff will call you and help you find out if this is the right program for your child.
HOW DO I BECOME A BIG BROTHER OR BIG SISTER?
Becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program is easy. To begin the process or call the agency to have an application sent to you. Once you have filled out a program application, our caseworker will meet with you to learn more about you and the type of child you would like to mentor. You will be required to have a background check, a driver’s license check, and submit 3 personal references. Once you have successfully completed the process, you will be ready to be matched with a child. Generally, our Big Brothers and Big Sisters spend at least a few hours every month with their Littles, shooting hoops, fishing, cooking, playing video games - anything that lets a child know that someone else cares for them or pays attention to them and lets them safely enjoy their childhood.
HOW DO I PARTNER WITH YOU ON A CORPORATE LEVEL?
Contact the agency’s Director or a Board member to discuss how your organization can work together with Big Brothers Big Sisters to help kids in our community. Opportunities are abundantly available for volunteering, funding, advocating, and providing professional services. Becoming a partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters is a strategic opportunity for your company or organization to build both your internal strength and your civic profile within the community. Plus, it feels great knowing that you are helping to shape the work force of the future by helping children to develop into caring, confident, and responsible adults through mentoring.
